Today, I'll share legitimate ways to make money online that will ensure you never have to wonder about how to make money online again.   Will these options make you filthy rich?  Maybe not, but you'll have a blueprint on how to put your money making mojo in gear by the time we are done with the series!
My goal is to help everyone reading this realize that your only source of income doesn't need to be a 9-5 job.  There are so many ways that you can make money online and this 3-part series only cracks the surface!
Let's jump in, shall we?
Freelance Writing  Companies are always looking for writers to help them convey a message or boost their rankings in search engines.  Compensation varies by niche and industry but the average is around $15-$500 per written article.  Obviously, larger companies can afford to pay much more for per article with smaller companies with scores of writers paying less.  The key here is to understand how to connect with your audience while maintaining a firm grasp of the information being presented. Demandstudios is a decent place to start when looking for freelance writing gigs. The job board at problogger.net is also another place to start but you have to be quick and monitor it often to be one of the first to reply to a job posting.

Each job is different.  Some may want you to be yourself and speak as you would to a girlfriend, where as others require a more formal tone.  You'll have to decide how you'll adapt your writing style for each article.  The best way to get started is by guest posting or starting your own blog.  From there, you can put your writing on display for others to see and use that work to back up your application for a paid gig.
Virtual Assistant  This is a great way to work from home while helping a busy entrepreneur, overworked mom, dad with endless honey dos or whoever needs help with logistical and administrative tasks.  You can start by marketing yourself on Fiverr.com, Upwork.com or locally via Craiglsist or Backpages.  If you're brand new to this, then working with family members and friends who use your services may be able to give you positive feedback on to boost your user profiles on each site.
Remember, if you're new then you'll need the review of someone else who has experienced and able to speak to your work ethic.  Positive reviews are keys to snagging your first client.
Selling Items on Craigslist or Ebay  You're thinking, I've heard this before, and maybe you have but I have a twist to this.  Check out sites like Freecycle.org locally in your area and selectively choose items that you may be able to resell.  Some donors on the site don't want to be bothered with selling their stuff so they give it away free in hopes that someone else can use it.
Well, this is where your money making mojo kicks in!  Carefully review the items being offered (especially baby clothes, this is huge on Ebay!) and make arrangements to see pictures and if all looks well then pick it up.  Do whatever you need to do to bring it up to selling condition and post it to Ebay or Craigslist.
Set up an online store.  This does take a bit more work and intentional effort to set up but once you do it can become an instant money making machine!  I am a huge fan of making money while I sleep.  And, while the upfront effort required is more than other options, the effortless reward of making money is good enough for me.
The best example for this is Steve at mywifequitherjob.com.   He has the besttutorials to help you get started on building your next online empire.  He lists his incomes, trials and what works.  Take a look and see how his tips can help you get started.
Selling on Amazon.  Maybe you've seen the ads on Facebook FB +0.52%, but setting up shop on Amazon is all the rage because of Amazon's seller services.  Sandy Smith, the online moneypreneur and debt slayer at YesIAmCheap.com, teaches her audience how to make money online using Amazon.com.  In December 2015, she made $20,000 following buyer trends for the holidays.  Certainly not chump change in anyone's book.
